A new vintage and a new winemaker for this jewel in B&G’s crown.

22. February 2021 – Miami, FL– Barton & Guestier launches its newest comfortable Vintage Tourmaline to the U.S. market. Tourmaline 2020, produced by Véronique Florentin, recently appointed head of Provençal wines at Barton & Guestier, is a true Provençal wine that highlights the authenticity of the appellation and its world-renowned style.

Barton & Guestier ordered attractive custom packaging for the Tourmaline Rosé to enhance this gem of a wine and give it the right elegance for any occasion. The Vinolok® glass stopper seals the bottle at the top, while the trousers at the bottom look like the famous pink gemstone that gives the wine its name. The letters B&G are engraved on the neck of the bottle, as are the emblematic red letters of Barton & Guestier on the label; a font synonymous with the high quality of French wines and a commitment to sustainability at all levels.

Veronica Florentin, the new director of the group’s own cellar in Vidauban, near Saint-Tropez, talks in more detail about the 2020 vintage: Thanks to good rainfall in the fall and winter, the vines remained very healthy throughout the growing season and had lush, active foliage. After a beautiful flowering, the grapes (Grenache, Sinsault and Syrah) have developed to maturity, indicating a very satisfactory balance between all the elements. In the finished wine, we can see that the light pink color has retained its purple reflections. In the nose, aromas of apricots follow floral notes of lily and citrus. A dry and balanced wine, soft and delicious on the palate, ending with a fresh sensation. Wine lovers looking for a real Côtes de Provence rosé will not be disappointed!

Barton & Guestier’s vinification is based on sustainable principles, and the Côtes de Provence Tourmaline Rosé is no exception. Over the years we have refined our approach to sustainability at Château Magnol, which now has certifications such as ISO 14001 and a high environmental score – Level 3, explains Laurent Prada, B&G’s Chief Winemaker. We continue to apply these rules to all our wines and to our entire company. As a company with 300 years of history, we know how important it is to develop all our practices towards even greater sustainability at all levels.

The $19.99 Tourmaline Barton & Guestier Côtes de Provence Rosé is now available nationwide through Drizly, as well as Publix, Harris Teeter, Hannaford and select independent retailers. For trading partners by state, see www.RangeMe.com.
