Whether you choose cannabidiol (CBD) or tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabis-infused cocktails offer a delicious alternative to re-infusions. They are also wonderfully customizable, so you can choose your brew.
In addition to cannabis, this drink comes from the latest book Cannabis Drinks by Herb Somme Jamie Evans : Secrets of making CBD and THC drinks at home, packed with nutrients, vitamins and minerals, using fresh juices and herbs.
Depending on your taste, you can choose the suggested infused ginger syrup or any other CBD or THC soluble ingredient of your choice. For example, you can use simple syrup with your favorite cannabis tincture. Those who have access to commercial CBD or THC honey, like Potley, can also add a teaspoon to the bottom of the shaker before stirring, instead of the simple syrup.
A simple syrup can be spiced up with flavors other than ginger, for example. B. with lavender (use 3 tablespoons of organic lavender flowers instead of ginger) or cardamom and cinnamon (use 1 tablespoon of whole cardamom pods cut in half and 4 cinnamon sticks instead of ginger) This recipe also includes the decarboxylation of the cannabis flower, which you can read more about here. And you can learn more about making your own CBD blended products at home here or watch this video with Jamie Evans.
The recipe below, using Evans’ infused ginger syrup, yields a low concentration cocktail that should provide a target dose of 8 mg CBD and 2 mg THC.

In a small saucepan, mix 2 cups water with 1 cup honey and 1 1/2 teaspoons peeled and sliced ginger. Bring gently to the boil while stirring until the honey has dissolved. Reduce the temperature to 160-180°F and add 3 grams of decarboxylated cannabis.
Simmer for 50 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally. Turn down the heat and add 1 tablespoon of good quality vegetable glycerin. Let cook for another 10 minutes and then remove from the heat.
Pour the syrup into a 16 gallon Mason jar through a mesh cloth placed in a fine mesh filter to catch the solids. Let’s calm down. Store in refrigerator; shake before serving. The syrup can be kept in the refrigerator for several weeks. The result is about 16 ounces.
