A little Italian paradise in Mendocino.

Mixed Italian Brutocoa - The crazy trio

We return with another great offer from the vineyards of the Brutocao family, this time with three different wines from their line of Italian varieties, Quadriga, Primitivo and the aptly named Uber Tuscan!

After the success of our Sangiovese proposal of Brutocao (pronounced cooking factor tuh-tuh), we decided to come back with not only one but also three other wines of Italian varieties. Two of these wines naturally contain Sangiovese, but they also contain Primitif, Barbera and even Dolcetto.

This is really a unique and very small winery, but the best thing is that they are 40% cheaper the next day! You can’t miss it.

(Bottled vineyard means that all these grapes are from the vineyard and the entire winemaking process, i.e. the whole process, from the cultivation of the grapes to the production of the wine, is controlled by the winery).

The current offer includes 2 bottles of each of the following wines: Quadriga 2016 for Sangiovese, Primitivo, Barbera and Dolcetto; Uber-Toscana 2014 for Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon; and Primitivo 2017.

These three wines have an advised retail price of 28 USD and are practically only available in the cellar for this price. (It is not surprising that such a small quantity of each wine is produced).

Our DIAL INZIDER receives 2 bottles of each wine for a total of 6 bottles for $99.99. It only costs $16.67 per bottle, saving you more than $11 per bottle!

In 2016 we received Brutocoa Quadriga – 37% Sangiovese, 18% Barbera, 17% Primitive, 16% Dolcetto, 9% Merlot and 3% Sira from the vineyards of Bliss, Feliz and Contento. The wine has been aged for 18 months in 90% and 10% American oak, of which 25% is new and only 1000 cases have been produced.

2016 Insider trading of Brutocoa Quadriga

Out of the bottle:

The quadriga, a carriage carried by four horses, is an ancient Italian symbol of triumph. In honour of our Italian heritage, we have created a patented blend of Sangiovese, Primitivo, Barbera and Dolcetto. This versatile wine can be enjoyed with pizza, pasta, most meat dishes, cheese or just with a good friend. We hope our efforts will be successful for you.

The Brutocao Quadriga 2016 begins with a very pleasant and seductive taste with an array of red and dark berries, lots of licorice, various spicy notes for cooking and many other touches you can discover by sniffing and whirling.

And it’s even better if you try this combination of really delicious Italian variations. With beautiful juicy fruit, beautiful oak notes well integrated with herbs and a sweet mouthfeel, it is a delicious, rich, lightly tanned beauty. I think it’s great that you can find him at Mendocino’s!

It ends with a nice dry, long and spicy finish. It’s beautiful, and it gets better the more time you need to breathe.

It will be followed in 2014 by the Tuscan vineyard Brutocao Uber, consisting of 65% Sangiovese and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon of the wineries of Contento, Feliz and Bliss. The wine has been aged for 18 months in oak barrels and only 500 cases have been produced.

2014 Brutoko Uber Toscana Insider company

Out of the bottle:

Why the sur-Tuscany? Well, Uber comes from German and is related to Latin, super and Greek, hyper and English, and more. Recently, Uubercula has also become a synonym for super, i.e. Uubercula = hypothermic, usually with a slightly higher value. Tuscany, because Tuscany was the birthplace of some super people like Leonardo and Michelangelo, of the Italian Renaissance and of fantastic wine. So when we decided to make our own super cool wine in Tuscan style, Uber-Tuscany was perfect. With aromas of jasmine, plum and red vine leaves, our fruit blend offers a rich mouthfeel, excellent tannin structure and a long strawberry and plum finish.

Brutocao Uber-Toscana 2014 begins with a very pleasant aroma of black cherries, strawberries and other berries, vanilla and various spicy notes.

If you’re lucky and get 100% Sangiovese, this store will be a little riper, with more black cherries than Sangiovese. It is sweet and easy to drink, with a nice hint of spice in everything it contains and has an excellent structure. It is quite easy to drink straight from the bottle, it gets better and better the more air it has, so give it enough time to breathe.

It ends dry, long and delicious.

2017 Grosso Primitive - Insider Trading

Out of the bottle:

Located at the top of our picturesque Ranch Contento, this Primitivo vineyard is the perfect expression of the variety of the old world flourishing in the new world. The manual harvest, the fermentation in small batches and the maturation in French oak barrels result in a wine that we hope you will enjoy. Greetings

2017 Brutocao Primitivo, a clone of the same grapes as Zinfandel, is very different from your typical Cali Zin. It starts with a very tempting aroma of berries, plums, raisins, a little spice, earth, leather and liquorice.

It is slightly more sensual than when tasted, but generally more substantial than your typical Californian sensu. It is very balanced, with well integrated herbs, lots of sweet fruit to taste, vanilla, a good flow of earth and a hint of tobacco in the mouth. It’s delicious!

It ends with a dry, long and slightly chewy aftertaste of cultivated fruit and herbs. I love the trio of wines we have today!
