Portland Cider Co. Launches Sessionable Ciderade Series with the Release of Lemon-Lime

Portland Cider Co. Launches Sessionable Ciderade Series with the Release of Lemon-Lime CLACKAMAS, Ore.-Jan. 14, 2021 – Anticipating today’s wellness trends, Portland Cider Co. has launched a new series of ciders that will include three session ciders later this year, each made with 100% Northwest apples, clarified local fruit and a dose of electrolytes from Jacobsen Salt Co.

Portland Cider Co. today launched Lemon Lime Ciderade, the first fragrance in the series, available now through April; Strawberry Ciderade follows in May and Orange Ciderade in the fall. Each product in the Siderad line is a light, low-carb drink with less than 100 calories, 3.5 grams of sugar and carbohydrates and 4% ABV per 12-ounce serving.

With its low alcohol content, real citrus juice and essential electrolytes, our lemon-lime cider is the ultimate refreshing cider, says Linda Parrish, co-owner of Portland Cider Co. – We introduced the Siderad with this lemon-lime flavor last year as part of our small series. It was so widespread that we knew we had to bring it back, but in a broader sense. We’re delighted to celebrate the return of lime with the introduction of a new Siderad range to our portfolio and look forward to bringing out a variety of delicious flavours throughout the year.

In an effort to use local ingredients and support other Portland producers, Portland Ciderade is again partnering with Jacobsen Salt Co. on this project and all future products in the Ciderade series. Lemon Lime Cider, with sea salt from Netarts Bay on the Oregon coast, offers 118 mg of electrolytes per serving, making it a tasty canned thirst quencher.

We believe in partnering with small, craft brewers like ours whenever possible, says Jeff Parrish, co-owner of Portland Cider Co – Our Siderad series offers a light session cider with beneficial electrolytes from the addition of sea salt. Jacobsen Salt Co. was the first company to harvest salt in the Pacific Northwest since Lewis and Clark established their salt works in 1805.

The Ciderade series is sold in 12 oz. six-packs. Cans, 19.2 oz. are available in individual cans and drums. Lemon Lime Ciderade is now available in select stores in Oregon, Washington and parts of Northern California, as well as in the company’s two Portland-area company restaurants. Portland Cider Co. offers a cider search on its website to find retailers near you.
